Technical communication is the discipline of delivering information and
instruction in understandable, comprehensible forms of communication
that can encompass virtually any medium. Technical writing is the subset of technical communication that
specializes in providing information and instructions in a written
form, often in the form of manuals or instruction guides.
On my blog you will find three different samples of technical writing that I created for my Technical Writing course. The first sample is an instruction sheet about how to bottle feed an infant. The second sample is a process description of how to let a dog out into the yard. The final sample is a planning proposal that for the purposes of the assignment, was to be submitted to the administration of Ashford University. The proposal was only for the purposes of the course and was not actually submitted to the university.
